I have been a garden manager for three years now and I think I have worked them very hard and well. When all of my friends started becoming garden managers I decided to do it as well. It isn't so easy becoming a garden manager though, you have to take a test, which I didn't pass on my first try, I studied and passed on my second try! I love being a garden manager because we do so many really fun things like running the farmers market and managing our garden beds. We also get to teach and show our crew how to harvest and plant the vegetables that we sell at the farmers market, which I really love doing. Its also fun helping people buy our delicious vegetables. The money we make goes to making the garden even better. Some of my favorite plants to grow in the garden are tomatoes and peppers. I like tomatoes because there are always so many of them and I love to watch them grow. I love eating the peppers and they are always so beautiful when they are ready to harvest.
Over my years of being a garden manager, I feel like I have learned a lot. My parents bought some plants during our gardens' plants sale and now they depend on me for when things are ready to be harvested and stuff like that. I feel very proud of being a garden manager.
Mary, age 10.
